Stational Masses
Tell A FriendTell a Friend
During this Lent, Archbishop Wilson encourages us to join him in a pilgrimage by celebrating the Stational Masses in seven churches of our Deaneries, in preparation for the Easter Triduum. This follows the ancient custom of the Roman Church, by which the faithful followed a pilgrimage to honour the martyrs and to recommit to their baptismal promises.
The current edition of the Southern Cross gives the full history of this ancient custom of the Roman Church and provide details of the Adelaide pilgrimage, including a map showing how it will unfold as well as the details of the time and place of all seven.
The Stational Mass for the Eastern Deanery, the Deanery of our parish, will be on Wednesday 14th March at 7.30pm at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Murray Bridge. We are particularly invited to attend this Stational Mass. Our Candidates for reception into Full Communion into the Catholic Church will be welcomed at the Mass.
