The Southern Cross online | April 24, 2019
The Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide will hold a special prayer service and Mass for the Sri Lankan community in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral on Sunday April 28
The service will commence with the praying of the Rosary and a Litany with candle lighting at 5.30pm followed by Mass at 6pm.
“The service will be a time of shared prayer for the people of Sri Lanka, especially those affected by the bombings on Easter Sunday, and for our own Sri Lankan Catholic community,” said Father Philip Marshall, Administrator Delegate in the Adelaide Archdiocese, who will celebrate the Mass.
“In this time of tragedy, it’s important that we come together to grieve for the victims and their families, and to show our solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka.”
