SYNOD 2026 - Formation Sessions
Open to everyone. This formation series, offered online with some in-person sessions, will provide people from across the Archdiocese an opportunity to go deeper into the themes, practices and theology as we all prepare for the 2026 Archdiocesan Synod.
The Synod will affect everyone in the diocese, what does that mean for you and your parish, school, or community? All are invited to attend the formation sessions:
July 24, "The Spirituality of Synodality" - Speaker: Kelly Paget, at St Joseph's School Hall, Tranmere; Kelly Paget is a member of the Synod on Synodality and Chancellor of Broken Bay Diocese
August 7, "Discernment and Decision-Making" - Speaker: Archbishop-elect Shane Mackinlay; He is a member of the Synod on Synodality and Bishop of Sandhurst, Archdiocese of Brisbane.
September 9, "The Holy Spirit - Agent of Synodality" - Speaker: Br Ian Cribb SJ. Br Ian is Expert Advisor at the Synod of Synodality, and Provincial Delegate, Jesuit and Ignatian Spirituality Australia.
